$8000 and $6,500 Home Buyer Tax Credits

On November 6th, 2009 President Obama signed legislation to extend and expand the Home Buyer Tax Credit. The $8000 first-time home buyer tax credit deadline was extended to 4/30/2010. You must have the home you wish to purchase under contract by that date. However, you must close the transaction by 6/30/2010. Additionally, non-first time home buyers now can qualify for a credit of up to $6,500 as well.
